the drone supremacy
Lets just face the facts here. Fig barfs came and went like a president in his second term. It's time to find a new horse to beat, and the full metal hide of the "Drone" fad will no doubt hold up much longer then the weak prefab construction of your average collectafig.
So as you may or may not know building drones (fig scale mini-frames in this case) is nothing new for Craig (Tayasuune) or I (KingBrick) however recently we've had the joy to see a new interest in the theme which hopefully will last as long if not longer then the original sparks of interest we witnessed back in 2012.
Just recently we've had the pleasure of seeing many other builders takes on the theme

The photo above is provided to us by our boy Evan (Lego Junkie) entertains us all with his intimidating and rugged looking drones all contained within a scene reminiscent of a film that entertained immensely.
I really loved the use of rubber bands as wires on these drones and even went as far as to add some "wires" to one of the various drones sitting in front of me as I type this.

Captain Moebius has been spitting out drones for quite some time now and has more then impressed us all with his ability to build awesome and mini-frames while also paying great attention to the "mini" part. If your looking to build your own his photo stream should definitely be a stop on your path to android enlightenment. |
Bezor-1 presents a slightly larger frame, however, while its not exactly "mini" it definitely is keeping in the spirit of things and anyway, isn't it the season for that. These sword wielding muchachos are worth a once over and maybe a double take. Long legs, long looks, and all that jazz. (the photos not great you say? Whatduyou think this is? TBB?) |
Andrew Somers delights us all with a small scene depicting how drones will rule the future distopia with a iron fist... get it? Here we see one of the true advantages to brick built drones being joint articulation. The real question though is how much joint articulation does that girl running away have? |
Always remember
Drone is life
Drone is love
